Thanks to the suggestions of the people in the MyDreamApp.com Forums, as well as the judges’ comments from the first several rounds, Portal has a very full list of features.  The challenge then, is to try to organize these features into a feasible roadmap for development.  I am no developer, by any stretch, and therefore I can’t say which feature will be easier than any other. Feature Roadmap
Drag-and-drop file and folder sync between two or more Macs (with Bonjour)
Drag-and-drop syncing of major applications (start with solid support for the big names like Mail.app, Firefox, iCal, iLife, iWork, etc.)
Schedule syncs to run whenever you want, fully adjustable for each individual item or Mac
Animate the syncing process with cool graphical animations (powered by Flash or Core Animation, scalable from small progress bars to full screen wormholes)
Option of creating File Groups, with uniform sync settings
Option of creating Mac Groups, with uniform sync settings (Ad Hoc Groups, etc.)
Support for Mac OS X 10.5.x as well as 10.4.x (Portal should also degrade gracefully on older systems)
Full file/application backup and restore by Time Machine (on Macs with Leopard)

“Pro” features to make it easier to manage more than 10 Macs on a regular basis (such as workgroups or classrooms)
Sync to Server feature that allows Portal to use your favorite FTP client (Transmit, Fetch, etc) to sync files to your server (support for syncing to your iDisk or gDisk if possible)
Sync to USB feature that lets you keep the latest versions of your files ready to go on your USB flash drive, with changes syncing back to your Mac on the fly v1.5 :: The First Upgrades File merge capability (limited at first) as well as finer granularity in application syncing (XML merge, etc)
